I won a Bronze ADDY Award for an outdoor campaign I did for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, as their in-house Creative Manager. We were trying to increase donations, volunteers and awareness around hunger in Tucson and beyond. The bus shelter and bus bench ads used the resonating phrases, “Together we can end hunger” and “Imagine a world without hunger.” So glad a non-profit was represented in this year’s awards!
My latest truck wrap design was unveiled today! I’m quite proud of my design. If you see it driving around the street of Tucson, give the hard-working driver a little wave.
Back in the summer of 2011, just a few weeks into my new job as Creative Manager at the Community Food Bank, I was asked to come up with a few designs for a specialty license plate. My three designs were picked as the top three and then went to vote by the Arizona Association of Food Banks.
A winner was chosen, and is now available for purchase by all Arizona drivers!
The final design uses the green and orange branded colors of Feeding America, the national anti-hunger organization. I also used the wheat stalks and fork used in the Community Food Bank’s logo. The tagline was fairly easy, the committee voted to stick with the clever tagline “Ending Hunger One Plate at a Time.” Nice, right? A simple, sunset-like color effect on the background, plus 15+ rounds of tweaks and changes, and ta-da! It’s a winner.

A few billboard advertisements are still up along I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix. Have you seen them?
